  • Saudi uses meters for visibility, hPa for altimeter, feet for altitude.
  • Transition altitude is 13 000 ft — switch to STD above this.
  • Speech: callsigns in English; Arabic permitted only between Saudi-licensed crew/ATC on certain freqs.
  • VFR by day only unless specifically authorized (Part 91).
  • Filed flight plan required for all flights leaving the aerodrome traffic zone.
