AIRAC Cycle

Which AIRAC cycle are we in?

The AIP, the charts and every aeronautical database update on the same worldwide 28-day AIRAC schedule. Here is the cycle in force now, and the ones ahead.

Current AIRAC cycle
····
AIRAC effective dates are a fixed worldwide schedule (ICAO Annex 15) — 28 days apart, always a Thursday. This tool computes them from that schedule; always confirm the cycle of the actual AIP-KSA and charts you are using.

The cycles ahead

Each cycle runs 28 days. A change published for a cycle becomes effective on that cycle's date.

What AIRAC means

AIRAC — Aeronautical Information Regulation And Control — is the ICAO system that makes aeronautical information change on common, pre-notified dates. Significant changes to the AIP, to airspace, procedures, frequencies and navigation data are grouped and made effective on an AIRAC date, so operators and database providers everywhere update in step. Cycles are identified YYNN — the two-digit year and the ordinal cycle within it, so 2605 is the fifth cycle of 2026.
